Our Nutritional Hierarchy

When it comes to nutrition coaching implementing a roadmap to guide the decision making process is absolutely critical. For us, utilizing a hierarchy of nutrition development allows us to sequentially introduce more complex nutrition topics as members demonstrate competency over time.

𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 will always be at the foundation of our pyramid. If you are not assessing you are simply guessing. Which type of assessment we utilize is dependent upon the goal of the member, the coaches experience, and as well as current research.

𝙈𝙤𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 & 𝘿𝙞𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 – Motivation really refers to digging deep in order to identify the WHY behind the HOW. Nutrition coaching will inevitably become challenging and when it does we want to make sure that we have a strong foundation to fall back on. We then want to make sure our effort and motivation is being applied in the right direction or it is essentially worthless.

𝙌𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 – When it comes to nutrition, it is not about what we consume, but what we absorb. Higher quality foods are going to be more bioavailable and allow our bodies to function optimally

𝙌𝙪𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙮 – Once are able to understand the value of quality foods, we have to take them in using the right quantity. There are a ton of variables in here that will influence quantity. Everything from appetite awareness, to hand portion sizes, and even macros can work really well.

𝙏𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 – We need to take advantage of timing during certain parts of the day in order to maximize results. While this is higher up the pyramid for a reason, we truly believe that breakfast, intra-workout nutrition, and proper nutrition prior to bed are all low hanging fruit that can make a big difference.

𝙁𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙠𝙨 – Lastly we want to identify deficiencies that may be holding our members back from reaching their goals. Once everything is in place we identify what will best serve our members through proper supplementation.
